Wax and biodegradable adhesive residue stripper
Guard Remover® Eco Floor Wax is a powerful new-generation ecological stripper designed for stripping waxes and acrylic emulsions used for flooring. It can also be used to remove marks and residues of adhesives or foams used for carpets, linoleum and PVC floor coverings (neoprene, double sided, polyurethane, vinyl adhesive etc.)
Its special formula removes multiple adhesives and layers of wax in a single application. Its neutral pH allows a protective product to be applied afterwards without the need to rinse and neutralise, thus greatly reducing stripping time.
Guard Remover® Eco Floor Wax has been designed to meet the varying requirements of applicators in terms of safety during application, effectiveness, impact on the environment and respect for the treated surfaces.
It is a pH-neutral stripper that requires no labelling (no hazard symbol). Soda-free, potash-free and containing no ethylene glycol ethers (butyl glycol, methyl diglycol, etc.), it does not have the drawbacks of traditional alkaline strippers (classed as corrosive, requiring neutralisation and numerous rinsings, hazardous to the user and to the environment, etc.).
Guard Remover® Eco Floor Wax is harmless to glass and metal and produces no corrosion.

Apply with a mop.
Tools and equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after use.
  • It is essential to do tests beforehand, particularly to verify colour behaviour and any effects on the substrate.
  • Shake the product well before use.
Stripping of waxes: 
  • Dilute the product to 5% or 10% in water depending on the condition of the floor or the number of coats of emulsion to be removed.
  • Apply this solution generously to the surface.
  • Leave to act for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Strip with a floor buffer fitted with a black disc.
  • Remove the saturated solution with a wet vacuum cleaner.
  • Finish off with a damp sweep using clean water to remove residues.
Stripping of adhesives: 
  • Pull up the carpet or plastic flooring in pre-cut strips. Use a blade designed specially for this purpose.
  • Apply the product to the surface to be stripped with a sprayer.
  • Leave to act for about from 10 to 60 min without allowing the product to dry. The length of time will vary depending on the type of adhesive and thickness to be stripped.
  • Remove the residues with a painter’s knife or spatula.
  • Wait for several days before laying a new covering.
  • For coverings that are difficult to pull up, lift up about 30cm at one corner, pour in the product and leave to act for several hours until loose.
  • Physical state at 20°C: Liquid.
  • Colour: Pale yellow.
  • Odour: Slight.
  • pH: 6 ± 0.5.
  • Temperature at which stable: -5°C to +50°C.
  • Boiling point [°C]: NC.
  • Relative density: 1.05 ± 0.01.
  • Solubility in water [vol/vol]: Total.
  • Flashpoint [°C]: Not applicable.
Coverage depends on the number and quality of coats to be stripped. The following values are for guidance only:
  • Stripping of waxes: 6 to 20 m2/kg.
  • Stripping of adhesives: 4 to 10 m2/kg.
  • Store in a dry place at a temperature of between 5°C and 30°C.
  • Shelf-life: 48 months from date of manufacture, in original unopened can.
Ecological and respects the environment:
  • Water-based product.
  • Soda-free and potash-free.
  • No ethylene glycol ethers.
  • Safe and non-toxic.
  • Biodegradable > 90%*.
  • VOCs < 1 g/l*.
  • For best results it is essential that Guard Remover® Eco Floor Wax is used when the temperature of the substrates is between 5°C and 30°C.
  • Do not apply during rain or in very hot weather. Air temperature between 5°C and 30°C.
  • Do not use on wood flooring, cork, linoleum or painted surfaces.
  • Do not allow to dry.
  • Do not mix with another product.
  • Breathing protection: No breathing protection equipment is required under normal use conditions with suitable ventilation.
  • Hand protection: Wear household rubber gloves.
  • Skin protection: Wear protective long-sleeved clothing to protect the skin.
  • Eye protection: Wear protective goggles.
  • In case of ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Contact a doctor or specialist.
