Polish’Guard® is an acrylic emulsion containing metal ions that create a tough wear layer. Polish’Guard® is particularly designed for treating a wide variety of substrates, as well as substrates protected by the ProtectGuard® range of protective products. When diluted to 1 volume of product to 9 volumes of water, Polish’Guard® can also be used for regular maintenance.
Polish’Guard® is used indoors for treating horizontal porous inorganic surfaces (concrete, terracotta, brick, cement, cement tiles), plastic surfaces, linoleum, wood etc. Polish’Guard® is used for new and renovated constructions.

Apply using a terry towel type cloth or an applicator.
Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with water.
Apply the product to a surface that is clean, dust-free, grease-free and dry. To remove grease stains use Guard Cleaner® Eco Soiled Floors. For efflorescence, laitance or concrete bloom use Guard Remover® Eco Efflorescence & Cement.
Shake the product well before use.
Always carry out a preliminary test.
1st application: Use product neat – do not dilute.
For optimum results, apply 2 or 3 thin coats of Polish’Guard® without overcharging the substrate.
Wait approx. 30 min for drying between the 2 coats.
Apply 2nd coat at right angles to the 1st.
To bring out the gloss, a 3rd coat may be applied after 30 minutes’ dryingtime.
For extra gloss and toughness, buff Polish’Guard® with a a high-speed brushing machine (400 t/min) with a white disk.
Drying time before permitting traffic again: 6 hours.

The figures below should be used only as a general guideline:
Raw concrete: 6 to 10 m²/litre.
Protected concrete: 15 to 20 m²/litre.
Plastic surface: 20 to 25 m²/litre.
Maintenance: 20 to 40 m²/litre.

Storage: 24 months following the production date when kept in the original unopened container.
Regular maintenance of floors can be done using Polish’Guard® diluted to 1 volume to 9 volumes of water to regenerate the gloss.
Stubborn dirt should be cleaned off with clean water or with Guard Cleaner® Eco Soiled Floors diluted with 50% water.
Polish’Guard® can be stripped off completely with Guard® Remover Eco Floor Wax.

Do not treat surfaces until they have first been cleaned of all atmospheric pollution and all stains.
For effective protection, Polish’Guard® must be stirred and it is essential that it be used only when the substrate temperature is between 10°C and 30°C.
Do not apply in rain or very hot weather. Air temperature between 5°C and 30°C.
Do not mix with another product.
Do not apply to enamelled surfaces, polished or crystalline surfaces, extruded clay tiles or earthenware and surfaces treated with ProtectGuard® WF.
Respiratory protection: Under normal conditions of use where adequate ventilation is available, no special respiratory protection equipment is needed.
Hand protection: Wear latex gloves.
Skin protection: No special protective clothing or skin protection is required under normal conditions of use.
Eye protection: If there is a real risk of splashing, wear protective goggles.
If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. Contact a doctor or a specialist.
